No Call Program
The Mississippi Telephone Solicitation Act of 2003 directs the Mississippi Public Service
Commission to promulgate regulations and to compile and maintain a "No Call List". The list consists of telephone
numbers of Mississippi residential telephone subscribers who have elected to reduce telephone solicitations. Cell
phones and business numbers may not be included on the list. Telephone numbers used for home based businesses that
are not listed in the business section of the incumbent telephone company's telephone directory may be included on
the list. The law is effective on July 1, 2003.
The law prohibits those attempting to sell consumer goods and services by telephone from calling telephone numbers that appear on the "No Call List". However, there are some exemptions provided for by the Legislature in the Act. These exemptions are detailed in the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
If you don't want to register on-line, alternate means of registration may be found under the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
